Re: Life with a 156
Woohoo! lol, Yeah, according to this site here;
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carrevi...romeo_156.html
the Lusso came with headlamp washer jets, and although I never use them, at least it is a good indication to my model, lol
So mine is deffo a Lusso then right...? lol

Ah, mine also comes with the 6 Disc Alpine CD Changer which is a Lusso option, so I guess mine definitely is.

Re: Life with a 156
Yeah I think yours is a Veloce though Jason as it comes with the body mods as well, such as skirts and bigger wheels.
I think that is what the Veloce is, basically the Lusso only with a few nice external mods thrown in for good measure.
That's what I can gather from that link I posted anyway.

Re: Life with a 156
Jay, I am fairly certain the SP3 series came alot later on the newer models, meaning that yours is definitely a Veloce. Becauser the Veloce came with stiffer suspension according to this bloke:
"The 156 basic model (now called Turismo) has nearly everything you need, including air-con and, on most, a lovely wood rim steering wheel. However, the optional Lusso trim pack is the most desirable. Depending on model, it adds headlamp washers, a third centre head restraint, climate control, a CD player and choice of velour or leather trim. The Veloce alternative includes a dubious bodykit, fatter alloys, sports suspension and carbon-effect interior detailing."

Hmm, then theres my theory shot to hell, lol
So can you get a Veloce / Lusso SP then can you? or can you only have one or the other?

you need to think of the 2 phases of 156 seperately.
on the early models you could get a TS, or a TS Lusso. on either you could pay for sport pack 1, 2 or 3.
on the later models there were no sport packs, you had a choice of turismo, veloce or lusso.
so to answer your questions, you can have a lusso sport pack if it is a mk1, not if its a mk2, you cant have a veloce sport pack.
however you can still have optional extras on the later range, which includes the sport pack bits, but not called a sport pack because each was available seperately, and unlike before some optional extra bits were standard equipment on the model range (e.g. veloce)

Re: Life with a 156
Mine was first registered on March 2000, so not a Veloce then?
Spec is;
16" alloys (Teledials I think)
Small side skirts
Leather steering wheel
Momo leather seats
Carbon dash insert
Headlamp washers
Stereo has been replaced so no clue there
All 156 have (As I was correctly informed earlier) have Climate
Is the ski hatch to the boot std?
Is the tilt and tele steering wheel std?
How do you tell if its got sports suspension?
Is it an SP 1 2 or 3?

easy way to tell, if you have a black key you have a veloce, if you have a red key you have the sport pack.
