Well Happy Alfa 156 Head Gasket Replacement

Hi All,

What a wonderful place this forum is!

I have an Alfa 156 2.0L 16V,
The Head gasket on my car requires changing
and i was wondering if there are any instructions, pictures etc for changing the head gasket,i.e tourque settings on head bolts etc.
Any special tools required, i have lock nuts for cam shafts and Dead centre tool.
I have the CD Workshop manual from ebay but could not find info in there.

I am confident down to the Cam shafts and will replace variator, cam belts, possibly water pump etc, but past this i am not sure what i will find.

Any help would be much appreciated as I love this car to death, but
most garages dont seem to share my opinion when it comes to fixing it.:

Many thanks
