acceleration issue

see if im thinking along the right lines here..

whel i floor it in 1st (foot to floor) i get wheelspin until the traction sorts itself out at about 3500rpm... i then accelerate very strongly to about 5500rpm at which point the car starts pulling to the right...

my thoughts are pointing to a brake sticking? does that sound realistic?

there is no uneven wear on any of the tyres and at al other times acceleration is fine.

hopefully this is a suspension or brake issue because its all getting ripped out next month!

Re: acceleration issue

Might just need your wheels balanced Marko - do you get steering wheel shake at around 50 - 60 MPH? If so, I'd check that first.

Re: acceleration issue

Torque steer? Try driving a 185bhp Clio in this weather, not a nice experience with the roads as greasy as they are.

Most probably due to un-equal length drive shafts which causes the drive train to pull to one side.
