Re: Retrofit Cruise control - the definative guide

Parts ordered Friday, requested Monday shipment to the office, arrived from Mangoletsi this morning. Anyone know what size / type screws are needed for the switch?

Re: Retrofit Cruise control - the definative guide

sorry mate havent got a clue

mine came as a complete set of CC stalk, wipers and lights and there was already a screw bigger than the OEM one, with an L-shaped metal bracket [left that one out] took the CC stalk off the part and fitted. 5 minute job

Yep, exact year and spec as mine. I added mine and it works a treat.

Question, is the 156 cruise control stalk the same part as the 147 stalk? Thanks.

no

156047955 is unique to a 156 (2003 facelift)

Re: Retrofit Cruise control - the definative guide

Woohoo! Cruise control now fitted. Should this not be a sticky thread? It is without doubt the simplest car mod I have ever done. It took 5 minutes

It's more difficult to attach the roof bars

You should go back in and tell them they were wrong, and that they obviously don't know Alfa electronics very well

Re: Retrofit Cruise control - the definative guide

Fitted Mine this evening in Guest's Car Park Knowle, took no more than 10 Minutes to fit.

Then Headed home on the M42 with Cruise control on going through the Variable speed cameras
Should help prevent a Unpleasant surprise on the doormat.

Thanks to all for advise on this easy upgrade.

Re: Retrofit Cruise control - the definative guide

Fitted it to my '03 156 1.9 JTD today, and works a treat. Dead easy to do, the most difficult bit was getting the cowl back on. Many thanks to all who have contributed to this thread.
