CD Changer

I haven't had my 147 that long and although I love it, I'm going to buy a new GT. I can't resist any longer.

My 147 has the 10 cd changer, though it was fitted later at a dealers, not at the factory. Since it adds little to the value I thought I might as well take it out and put it in the GT.

It is mounted freestanding in the boot. Are the factory fitted changers in the wheelarch?

I have absolutely no technical knowledge and basically wondered what I would need to keep to be able to fit it in the GT. Do I need anything other than the bracket and the changer itself? Do I need to remove any wiring or connectors?

Cheers

Re: CD Changer

Before you take it out, make sure it is compatable with the radio in your new GT.

Re: CD Changer

As long as it is a Blaupunkt CDC A08 it transfers fine - I did it too.

Re: CD Changer

Ask your dealer to do it for you, or your not buying the new car

Re: CD Changer

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure of the exact model but it is Blaupunkt. As far as I am aware it is the model that would be factory fitted, but in this instance it was dealer fitted at a later date.

I would probably get it professionally installed but was going to take it out myself and wanted to sure I didn't leave something in the car that I would later need
