147 tyres

Hi all. Someone's probably posted this before somewhere, but I'm a newbie and can't find it so......what 215/45 tyres do you lot recommend for a 147 2.0? I've got Yokohama A539s at the moment and they're hard as hell. Something which just makes life a little more comfortable would be great, but what's your experience? Hope you can help.

Dunlop Sport 01. Try their website for info on noise & harshness.

Re: 147 tyres

or maybe Yokohama C.drive which are also comfortable and quiet on a 147. (ie made to cover a wider spectrum than your current Yoko's)

Re: 147 tyres

Thanks. I have a friend who has Pilot Primacies on his 156, but they're 16" wheels. Ride is a lot better than mine, though - worth forking out the money anyone think?

Anyone ever thought how annoying it is that you can't try out tyres before you buy?

Re: 147 tyres

As you seek comfortable and performance the best choices is michelins pilot exalto 2,bfgoodrich g-force profiler,Dunlop sp sport maxx but this one has Y velocity standard and you might have problems with the worming i don't know.In my opinion go to michelin it's very comfortable and performanced tire:
See for your self for all kinds of tires

the www.tirerack.com is a good place to check your options,
I myself have kumho "712" - read about it - they are good & cheap.

Re: 147 tyres

Thanks all of you for reviving that.

I'm actually trading the car in in a month or so (for a GT - hooray!!!) so I've returned the 147 to factory spec (16" wheels) in readiness.

However, I'll bear everything you say in mind since my GT will have 17s on it, and therefore the same 215/45 tyres I did have on the 147.

Cheers!

Re: 147 tyres

Event mobile tyre fitting, search them in google. Have had Goodyear F1 GSD3s on the 147 and my T5. Excellent value and performance.
