as title says, bodywork nice, interior fine for age but not leather.
It's a 2002 with 83k miles on it and a full service history. Looks to have been an import but all services at either dealers or sunwin(?) alfa
Whats nagging at me is one of the service reciepts.
At 69k it went into garage with symptoms of "Unable to start"
The garage, a specialist I believe, took the head off, changed the exhaust valves, new timing kit etc and checked the heads with a crack test(?).
Now the question I have is, after reading various threads on here, if they had to replace valves is it more than likely that they should have done the bottom end as well? A garage wouldn't strip a head if they didn't suspect that the belt had snapped would they?
This is important as if I **** up buying my next car, it'll be the last Alfa I'll ever be allowed:(

It's quite easy to tell if the belt has slipped/ broken. Once identified the head would need to be removed to check the valves. However if there as another fault and they took the head off to fix , it would make sense to change the belt etc. at the same time. Cloth trim not as popular , only worth a punt if sufficiently low cost ?
