Time to replace my front tyres on my 147 bridgestone potenzas, they give good grip but for me the road noise is quite alot!! Lots of good things to be said about the falken fk452, but has anyone tried or currently using their ze912 tyre. Tyre size of mine is 215/45/17
cheers all

Use 912's on the front of my mk3 Golf in 205/40 17 Found the grip really good for the past 9000 miles in Nice warm days, Horrid rainy days and in that white stuff they call snow. However I now have about 3mm left and in the wet the grip is trailing off slightly. Noise wise they are fine.

Got the 912s on a 156 16"s though and they're pretty good all round ( even coped with a track night at Knockhill ) !!

452s arent much more at least in 16" size however.

Almost certainly be trying those once the Pirellis currently on my 147 wera down

Cheers

used falkens for the last 5 years, and i will be for the forseable future. nothing comes close to their price for the quality you get.using fk452's at the moment and their fantastic. great in the dry, ok in the wet. 912's are an all weather tyre, whereas the 452 is a summer tyre. the 452 was supposed to replace the 912 but as the 912 is better in the wet they sell them side by side.

used the 912's on my stilo at the nurburgring and they where easily as good as if not better than the continental sport contact 2's it came with (which are more than double the price):wow:

then switched the the 452's for the other track days i did and they where even better, but as i said not so good in the rain, but far from crap:thumbs:

currently on the 452's all round on my 156 and there as good as ever.

i will swear by falken tyres and recommend them to anyone. (and no im not on commision:lol:)

I have 912's on the back of my GT and while good I feel them a bit skittish in the wet. Would still recommend them but suspect I may put them on the front. However I have Kumho Ecsta Sport KU31 on the front and they seem brilliant - quiet, grippy and pretty stable. They are a bit softer so will switch them to the rears. Recommend both wholeheartedly. The Kumhos are at a great price on CamSkill at the moment.
