The bottom hose going to my 156 radiator connects to a right angle (plastic?) elbow, which in turn connects to the radiator. The hose is clipped to the elbow with one of those awful Alfa one-time usable clips and the elbow is similarly clipped to radiator.
Given that the new radiator has no elbow, I'm assuming I need to leave the hose clipped to the elbow and remove the clip that secures the elbow to the radiator. The question is - how on earth do I get to it? It seems almost completely inaccessible from top and bottom. I strongly suspect that the main dealer who did the job last time removed the bumper, then removed the aircon radiator completely and pulled the main radiator out through the front of the car, removing the bottom hose while the radiator was at an angle on the way out.
I really wish Alfa would make their cars easier to work on
