Hi.
When i use the steering wheel on the car i'm getting a weird whirling noise first thing in the morning, it'll do it all the way to work (about 3 miles) and then wont make a sound the rest of the day. Does the fluid need changing or is the pump knackered?
If it makes the noise when cold it's most likely low on ps fluid as mine was. When the car heats up the fluid expands(?) then the noise goes away.. Pickup 1 litre of ps fluid from shop4arts/alfaworkshop etc. and top it up.. try to park in the same place to see if you get a leak, you will probably have a worn ps pipe
no worries.. I still haven't fixed my power steering pipe, takes a while to get through 1 litre of tutela so I still have a while to go.
Oh and also I remember reading that you need to turn the wheels to full lock each way (whilst jacked up) once you've topped it up. not 100% sure on that put sounds reasonable.
No worries, remember to check it weekly in case it leaks out again
