i fully agree, respect for all members, especially when we can help and they are looking for help. i have got lots of great help from here since joining. it makes owning an alfa a joy. so guys, if you want to help fellow alfa owners who are asking for assistance, please do so, it would be greatly appreciated,

you obviously feel insulted by my reply, so you can imagine exactly how i felt about yours, its the exact same  symbol.

so lets bury the hatchet please, great site

regards
ron

excellent, tanx a million, its for a newer version than my 1999 model but i presume the symbols are similar, so the circle one i'k talking about is brake pad wear and the airbag should be on centre display ! in which case my one isnt illuminating at all:wow: i downloaded fiatecuscan and it had only 1 error recorded and that was for the immobiliser not recognizing the key, or maybe i have to connect to airbag unit for airbag faults? so dash out and check bulb first i suppose, gotta remove swarf from gearbox aswell, int. no fourt gear. Ahhhh bank holiday weekends and an alfa

the airbag light is not a bulb and can only be cleared with Examiner or Alfadiag
(but if there is a real error it will pop on again)

ok guys,

rarebear you were correct about lights, they are like led's and the previous owner had it blocked off with with insulation tape so you couldnt see it was on  its on all the time. the passenger seat has the resistor mod on it. when i was looking for the connector for the vag cable i found that the previous owner had left a usb cable in there so thats a bit of a bonus :) but there is a rake of faults on airbag ecu. the wiring behind radio is in a bit of a mess and he also had an amplifier in the boot, so a lot of wires going there too. so maybe a wire somewhere. also rarebear i saw in other posts you mention the sensor on the transmission tunnell is this a single use unit or does it reset after a crash ?

cheers guys
