The leather on my gear knob is looking tired and worn. This may seem like a rather silly question, but how do I remove it ? My car is a 2000 2.4 JTD 156. I've tried to unscrew it but it won't budge? Assuming that I can remove it, has anyone had problems with fitting a replacement ? Many thanks ...
I think its the same as my GT... its forced on and held in place by friction and some glue... basically you have to cut it off .. I used a stanley knife. Cut off the leather, then some plastic foam... then underneath there is a harder plastic moulding, this I twisted off. Plenty of replacements out there Momo, Alfa Forum - Die Alfa Romeo Community auf alfisti.net .. I got a nice black leather and alloy one, for my 6 speed box.
