GTV/156 wheel swap query

Hi all.

I'm trying to get hold of some decent tyres for my 156. Have also been considering getting some 17's.

I've run across a nice set of 17's off of a GTV with great tyres on them. Now I know that GTV wheels are a straight swap for the 156, and that the tyres are different.

Here's the question... yes, the tyres are different from the 156 ones because they are currently fitted for a GTV. However, if I just throw these on my 156 will it cause any issues or would it be fine?

Cheers!

You may have clearance issues between the tyre and the wheelarch with 225/45R17 on the GTV ET30 rims.
225/45R17 are fine on a 156 if the offset is right.

BUT, are they OEM GTV rims or aftermarket?
If they are aftermarket then you need to know the offset because they may be too far out for a std 156.

Agree with David, you need to find out the tyre size and wheel offset first
