has anyone lost keys to an Alfa owned from new only to find when a new one is made up (at £312) that it doesn't fit the locks? I have also spent £188 on a locksmith to break into the car and make a correct key that fits; only problem is, he couldn't attach the blade to the remote. To start the car I need to insert the blade into the ignition with a pair of pliers and then hold the remote to the ignition at the same time... I have opened a case with Alfa in Italy hoping that they will provide a further key FOC but progress is very slow and today the telephone number 00 800 2532 0000 is not working.
I bought the car from new. The Alfa dealer I bought it from no longer exists but allegedly changed the locks without informing Alfa. I have only had the car serviced at Alfa dealers.
What number is this ?? 0800 is UK free phone number , if you are calling abroad 00 CODE then an 800 number is unlikely to work
