how do you turn of the service information

hi my 2005 156 diesels computer keeps telling my that it is over due its service, i want to turn this off does anyone know how to do this, it can be done just by the buttons on the "- INFO +" apparently.

Navigate to the service page on the infocentre, then hold down + and - for a few seconds.

What a wonderful feature - it's actually USEFUL and can be used by anyone :)

I find the warm red colour and bold capital letters of the Infocenter nicely comforting also - looks like something the Germans might have made.

The highlight of the day I bought my 156 was finding the 'Set' button on the left stalk :lol: Suddenly the Infocenter became much more interesting!

Obviously the Infocenter was designed by different people to the CAN-crazy FIAT Stilo designers, who created the multifunction display in the Stilo Abarth. The service interval on those has to be reset by the official FIAT Examiner and nothing else... and the text/graphics reminded me more of a PocketPC (that WinCE look...)

not all 2.4's had the fancy info centre, that was selespeeds only;)
