Hi, I've not posted here for a while as I've been busy with my uni work.

I have noticed that my 147 16v JTD (2003) is struggling to pull, I'm not very mechanical, but it's almost as if the turbo isn't doing anything, and the pull I get around 2900 revs - 4000+ is just the torque by the diesel itself, and not the turbo?

A few months ago, I would be able to put my foot down and about 2400 revs gear 2, it'd floor it and I'd feel it noticeably, but now, it's quite poor.

I had the turbo hose changed last November and had that bolt filed down as well, it doesn't sound like it's split (it made that loud hissing noise last time), I've noticed my MPG down to the 42-43's too, whereas before, it was up at the 47-48's, I've had the oil and filter changed recently and the air filter but I don't actually know when it's started happening, whether before or after the change which as about two months ago, I reckon it was about that time but don't know if that's a cause etc, the nearside upper wishbone was changed too...

Is this something I need to take down to a specialist like Mangoletsi to get checked over or is there any checks I can do myself first?

Thanks

I'd say get the EGR valve cleaned, if that doesn't fix, try change.

Other option is to look at the MAF - it's connected to the intake pipe under the battery box, try un plugging it, see if it improves. If your on around 70k these are the things that start to fail.

If you get no errors I'd say it was the MAF.
