Anybody know if it's possible to drain the 'screen wash reservior bottle?'
I have a 2005 156
If so, how do I go about it ?
Thanks N

I don't think there is a drain plug.

Working behind the bumper (under the car), you can pry the washer pump straight up with a large flat screwdriver (don't try to pull it to one side - straight up only).

Or... you could switch on the ignition, pull the wiper lever, and wait a minute...

Reminds me of a problem I had last year after my Summer Holiday

Driving the car home I kept getting a foul smell whenever i went over a Speed bump or round a fast corner:confused:

It ended up being the water in the washer bottle:wow:
So as AlexGS mentions the simplest way to empty was to disconect the water jet hose at the Bonnet connector and use the pump to pump it all out.
I also refilled with plain water and pumped it out again as the pump does leave some water in the bottle, then refilled with new screen wash.

I did it this way as i did not want the dirty water all over the car.

Ok, thanks for that
I'll do it the long way.... finger on the wash trigger for 10mins
Had it serviced recently, and it's full of almost neat 'winterscreenwash' so it's eating/melting the wiper blades by the second
Just have now to change it to a resonable % summer screenwash
Thanks again

Get a length of tubing and siphon it out?
