hi and welcome to the world of alfa, it would be quiet lengthy for soemone to write a step by step for you to do a service and load pics. Your best bet is to buy a woorkshop manual from ebay (that is if you have an ebay account) follow the link below and you will find loads of mauals and they are only about £5, defo worth it as i have it and not only does it help you service your car but if you have any other problems then you can research it on there too.:)

As what air filter to use then a k&n is a very good option but if it was me then i would buy a BMC air filter as i have looked into this and they are loads better and a little more expensive but well worth it. If you go into the modding and tuning thread you will find something about the k&n air filter and where to buy then cheap, if you want to know more abut the BMC filter then go to the link below and read up about then, i looked on ebay and found a new filter for about £45.

Here is an engine oil change guide:
http://kgb.clubalfaromeo.com/gotcha/147 Engine Oil Change Guide.pdf

Air filter should be just a matter of undoing the intake pipe and releasing two clips (at least on 147, not sure about 156 airbox).

Spark plugs - I have seen a guide somewhere but cant find it now. However I wouldnt try this without the proper tools, if you want to do it right, you need a long spark plug socket and a torque wrench not to overtighten them in alloy head.

Reply was more re basic servicing :thumbs:

IIRC Some 156s had 19mm heads and some 17mm with thread m12x1.25 I think

Try a search for posts by "David C", sure he posted in thread about locking bolts fairly recently but might be mistaken - I'll see if I can find it

To save starting a new thread i'll just add on to this one;
I've just bought a carbon fibre centre console off of ebay for 99p (bargin!!!) :lol:
and wondered if anyone had changed or fitted one before and if it is easy or not?
and where all of the screws are located?
Cheers

nice one peezy, hell of site, thanks
I'm fitting it tomorrow, and also covering my roof with 3M Carbon Fibre Di-Noc CA-421 Vinyl Wrap, it's supposed to be easy, there's loads of stuff on youtube about it & how to fit it, you can cover anything with it!
I've got a momo carbon gear knob as well, so i'm getting there.
Does anyone know if you can change the headlights to something a bit different? and where i can find them?
I've also changed the air box to a carbon bmc one & have upgraded the wheels from 15" steel ones with trims that where on it when i got it to 15" alloys that i got of off ebay for £38! happydays :D
wondering what to do next, any ideas?
