hopefully in time this thread should sort out cheap bosch alternatives and i mean genuine BOSCH maf sensors
if anyone has had their MAF replaced have surely been stung by the replacement some close to £200 :wow:
in these MAF housing is a sensor that measures are flow and converts this to an voltage to ecu
there are numerous housings and applications but there is a lot of the same sensors in other models but different housing used ie v6 sensor (£170)is used in twin spark(£110)as an example
what i would like owners to do if they list their car as i have below and in time we can work out what sensor is in what without paying for that expensive tube

MODEL
156 2.5 v6 2001 (cf3)
MAF TUBE NO 0280218054
SENSOR NO F00C 2G2 044
so if you have new maf fitted or is to be fitted at garage or still got old one in garage keep hold of it until you can put details on here:thumbs:
criticise this thread by all means but constructively tho so imformation is correct
dont ask questions about your maf or car problems START A NEW THREAD OR USE SEARCH

ive pinched pics off rarebear and pascs hope you dont mind
top pics are sensors and bottom complete unit with sensor removed

2.0 TS CF3, was fitted with a CF2 MAF details as follows:
Tube number 0280218019
Sensor number F 00C 262 013
keithboy - check your sensor - thats the wrong one to be fitted to a 0280218019 and CF2 engine?
I just removed my MAF today from my 2.0 TS CF2 and it's fitted with F 00C 262 013 sensor in a 0280218019 tube.

If what @CrispDust said is correct then what sensor should be in there? A F 00C 262 013 or a F 00C 262 030? Many thanks.

F 00C 2G2 030 sensor from 0281002180 tube. An Astra 1.7CDI £64 from Eurocarparst. Sensor is a direct replacement for my GTV V6 1999 and 166 2.5 V6 1999.
Don't get ripped off!

Timely post, just changed the MAF on my GT - however did not totally cure problem, so also cleaned out the ERG valve - different car! (Suggest anybody else who thinks the MAF is playing up to clean out this first as it costs nothing and then see if the MAF needs replaced, in my case the both needed sorting).

Got the MAF sensor from a local motor factors - ordered directly from Bosch £145 +VAT (hell of a lot cheaper than Alfa dealer wanted), this was for the sensor + housing.

There are 2 types fitted to the JTD GT's (CF3 and CF4) - the alfa parts cat lists the CF4 (0055183650, BOSCH 0281002792) but in my case it was the CF3 type fitted!

2005 GT CF3 1.9 JTD

Housing: (0046811122) BOSCH 0280218120

Sensor:

Will list the sensor # when I have a look at the old one, might help somebody else from ordering the wrong one too!!

Just had to replace the MAF sensor in my 2004 GT CF3 1.9 JTD and can confirm the part number of this MAF sensor for anyone else that needs it.

It is F00C 2G2 063 and it is apparently also fitted to various Vauxhall Corsa and Astra 1.3 and 1.7 CDTI engines. I got mine for £93 delivered from Worldcarparts (original Bosch), hope this helps.

Just to add, our 147 jtd hasn't been driving right since we got it and i suspect the maf sensor. So plan was to swop over maf from my 156 jtd to the 147 to see if it works.

04 147 JTD 8v 115: F00C 2G2 063
03 156 JTD 10v 150: F00C 2G2 044 (The MAF on this car was changed at some time)

I had to get a TS25 (5 star) bit to remove the screws on both cars.

It was obvious when I saw the 147 sensor why it wasn't working, as it has quite an oily film over it. I had to change the intercooler to intake boost pipe recently as it was split, so I don't know if this caused it.

MAF is downstream of the turbo and the boost pipes, so you shouldn't get oil leaking back from the turbo onto the MAF. Somehow it has been contaminated - I would check and replace your air filter, and clean out anything in your airfilter box if there is anything else in there.

I came up with the following observations:

Bosch housing #, Alfa #, Sensor #, Application
-----------------------F00C 2G2 013 older TS?
0280 218 019 46447503, 46541253 F00C 2G2 030 CF2 T sparks & some JTDs (until Oct '00)
0280 217 531 46444287 F00C 2G2 030 2.5 24V CF2 AND 3.0 24V CF2 (until Oct '00)
0280 218 054 55193049 F00C 2G2 044 2.5 24v CF3 and 3.0 24v CF3
0281 002 309 46559804 F00C 2G2 044 03 1.6 147, 03 CF3 2.0 147, 02 156 2.4jtd 150hp
0281 002 308 46559828 F00C 2G2 044 '02/03 Fiat Stilo/147 1.9 8v
0281 002 533----------F00C 2G2 063 147/156 GTA (3.2v6)
0280 218 120 46811122 F00C 2G2 063 04 147 1.9 8v 115, 04 GT CF3 1.9 JTD, GT 20. JTS
0280 218 113 46811312 F00C 2G2 063 02+ 156 JTD/16v, 03+ 156 2.0JTS.
0281 002 598 46824377 F00C 2G2 063 156/166 2.4 20v (163,175,180bhp)

Now, bear in mind there are multiple housings for each sensor, the housing and alfa parts number for illustration only. Also I've assumed that 262 and 2G2 in the sensor number is the same thing.

But it does look like there are only 4 or 5 unique sensors used in the 147/156/GT range. Would be good to get the cheapest place to buy each of the sensors, even if in a different housing.

Found a list of Bosch housing # and sensor # here:
Google Translate

The following website lists all cars that use a certain sensor. Interestingly, they have the F00C 2G2 030 and F00C 2G2 044 in the same list. From what I've read elsewhere, I believe the F00C 2G2 030 can be used as a substitute for the F00C 2G2 044, in the diesels at least.

One of the cheapest ways to get the F 00C 2G2 030 sensor is from the 0281002180 tube used in Vauxhalls:

Well.... I was in a breakers today and got a handfull of bits for a fiver.... incl clear side repeaters and an 030 maf. Thought I might as well try it as it looked new and mine is dead.... and I would have happily paid a fiver for the repeaters.

Tried the maf.... starts and runs fine.... feels more power..... and just plugged in fiatECUscan and put the engine warning light out......and it stayed out. No maf warning. I consider thet a result.

I'm going to dicect the old one to see exactly what I'm cleaning next time. I'll post a few pics if anyone else is interested.
