ok guys been having a play with my car, and tbh, i'm not sure...
been thinking of doing the GTA headlights as well, but really not sure.. what do you guys think so far.
the number plate was a freebie off a m8, but i need to get a 14 inch to make it look right, just need to sort out the mess that was underneath the org. number plate, i wish bodgers garages would remove stuff when they spray....
As for thr number plate, mine has the mounting plinth missing, but it has a regular number plate so there are no holes. The plate is just screwed straight onto the bumper.
The grill needs it's badge back, unless you could flatten off it's top, and mod the bonnet to suit. The import sized plates only really work on jap cars that have an import sized plate recess hiding behind the euro plinth.
The lights on my black 156 are from Depo, the car is LHD and I dont think Depo do RHD. But I've done a set of 'GTA' style lights on my red 156 and there should be plenty of threads on here about how to do it - it is time consuming because the majority of the bumper has to come off to get the lights out.
no you guys are right about the gille.... but i like the idea of the euro size plate, the 1 on there was a import size... needs to get a new one make up and defo doing the dark headlights
if the grille was gloss it would look good, not liking matte, its like when barrys matte their bonnet cos they cant afford carbon fibre. cos it isn't shiny it draws you in too much. GTA style lights would set it off. [edit] thinking about it, the matte matches the bump strips nicely [/edit]
I've got a 5 letter reg on a 14" standard height plate and it looks mint. square plates are too jap for my liking. keep it standard height.
You've already heard it from everyone else but it reminds me of a pre production car where they remove stuff, replace stuff, stick ugly bits on to confuse motoring columnists. Or looks like someone has stolen bits off it and left it on bricks - you know what i'm talking about.
But i reckon it'd work if you painted the bonnets V in Matt black as well. I haven't seen it done before but it would look really mean as the V would continue right down to the low point on the bumper. Photoshop that!
