I recently purchased my 2003 156 TS which has a parrot ck3100 hands free wired in. Unfortunately the kit does not work. I also seem to have a coaxial cable but nowhere to connect it.
Anyone come across this or similar before?
Scratching my head furiously does not seem to help.
the coax will be a gsm antenna alfa fitted them on the roof of some cars and terminate it to an male fme connector in the car (fits nokia, sony ericsson and thb kits) as the parrot kit is bluetooth you dont have an external antenna because it uses the phones built in one. With regards the ck3100 what seems to be the problem does the screen light up, have you paired your phone the passcode is 1234 on that kit if unable to pair up the basic way you would need to go into the settings menu and there is a section there for smart phones etc. Tell me what its doing i'll try and help more
Cheers Steviec, that antennae cable was really buggin me. The bluetooth is doing nothing. I got it to show up "No Signal" on the facia once and taht's it. I have checked the fuses etc but that is about it. Do you know if the system requires and additional hardware for initial setup?
if you mean the screen isn't lighting up then on theback of the screen is 2 small philips screws remove them and the back cover comes off you will see a white plug make sure it is clipped in properly had that quite a few times.
Have a look through this PDF and check that it is installed correctly.
I have one in my 156, and it only took me 20 minutes to install.
It's a great kit
Indeed it is a great kit.
Right so the kit boots up when you you turn the ignition on I gather. If you turn the black knob you go through the menu's do this until you get to settings press the black knob and then scroll through that set and you will find one that deals with pairing a phone that wont auto connect I can't remember what the page is called but it is fairly obvious when you see it. Once in it gives you the ability to select the make of phone.
Try that. If that doesn't work then your kit may need a firm ware upgrade which you downlaod from the parrot web site for free and then bt it to the kit using a lap top, full instructions for that are on their web site.
Enough to keep you going for a bit longer lol
Thanks guys, but the kit appears to be installed correctly? Still nothing showing up on the screen. Might just take it to an Auto Electrician.
Will follow up later.
