has anyone on here used these for any length of time, and are they as good as the bosch mafs
any info welcome :)

If they are anything like Pierburg Carburettors they will be rubbish.

Anything other than genuine Bosch MAF's generally don't work very well.

Or check out the thread that tells you what other, cheaper MAFs use the same internal component.

I can't find it. Linky anyone?

Mine has a non-Bosch MAF in it because I needed it fixed pronto, my local factor only had a pattern one in and I didn't have tome to trawl around for one. It's OK but the car seems hesitant on cold mornings.

I picked one up at a scrap yard a while back for £5 and it worked.

I sold it on ebay for a nice profit.

Mmm I might have to cheack what mine is, they couldn't get a Bosch maf. I do find it stutters in low revs / external temp below 10 degrees.

Could this be the 3rd part maf?

Mmm, I've had my suspisions, it's only been since the new maf :(

Does the car run better if you disconnect the MAF all together? If it does the MAF is your problem.

TBH the car runs fine all through, has never pulled better. It's only a little lumpy every now and then, we had put ut down to my exhaust causing turbo to spool up to quick. But It was fine before this new MAF.

Not a massive problem as weather is better, and is now harder to re create the symptom.

The italian ebay site is offering what appears to be the correct genuine Bosch MAF for my car, for about 60 euros (£50 at current exchange rates). This compares quite favourably to the £100+ wanted by British ebay sellers.

Any cheaper UK sources?
