Bonnet lifts slightly at speed

The bonnet on my 156 lifts on the right hand corner and vibrates slightly at speed, roughly over 60mph. It's worse when driving into a head or side wind. I can't detect any noticeable play in the catch when the cars parked.

However, I did have a slight shunt last July. I'm worrying that the bonnet could be twisted or that the slam panel may be a bit bent. I didn't get the car repaired at an accident repair centre as I feared they'd deem it an economic write off. In the end I only replaced the headlamp (top mounting bracket had snapped) and the headlamp washer jet which had been knocked out.

With other bills imminent for rad, clutch, brakes and windscreen rust I'm wondering what do do. I've spent too much on this car this year to chop it in now. :( Other than these issues the car is driving really nicely at the moment. This was a tidy car when I bought it 18 months ago. :(

What should I do?

Yep, it did move quite a bit on the drivers side. I've adjusted the stop so that the bonnet is firmly supported, but this means the bonnet isn't flush with the wing. Safe to say it probably is twisted. I already have a price for a second hand bonnet from Autolusso, so I'll probably get it replaced.

You may need to adjust the catch, then. Set the stops so that the bonnet is sitting flush with the wings, then move the catch up or down as required so that it's holding firmly. It may take a bit of trial & error to get it right, but it should be possible.
