Over the past 3 days I've noticed a very strange issue with the parking sensors on my 05 GT. When i drive the car out of my garage in the morning, I get a short quick beep after engaging in reverse (normal) but then the been turns constant and won't stop. There are no objects in its way or even to the sides and yet the beep remains constant. I've tried moving forward and re-engaging the reverse gear but the beep still remains constant.
now here's the funny thing - after driving for a while the sensors return to normal again i.e. they work properly.
Has this happened to anyone else? I know the sensors are a common problem on the GTs. Any quick fix/DIY ideas?
1.Reset the windows with the door switches....hold the respective switch for at least 10 secs up & then for another 10 secs down. This is the 'soft' reset for the windows.Hope this helps.
can u find the sensor hub? the plastic box which all relays join? u may find maybe wiring problems if not, then one damaged sensor can make this problem you'll need to check which one
no, the sensors usually have a hub to decode the signals transmitted from the sensors and convert them into sound waves which you can hear to let you know about if your gonna hit something, all the sensors are connected to this hub. but i dont know where it should be placed on the GT
