I have just changed by throttle body. I had a 1.8 one on, and replaced it with one from a 2.0 (kept my ECU from the top though). Now the car seems to rev, when slowing etc. Idle is faster, but i preseume that is due to cable adjustment. I can't imagine the throtle body can be different (both from 1998 cars), but can anyone confirm?
Pretty sure they matched. I changed it by accident really, as i was mucking about changing ECU's on the car to try and find my immobilser fault. I may change it back tomorrow, but was hoping it would be the same. The only thing different would be where the plug plugs into (i imagine)
Parts are, as far as I'm aware, physically the same, but on a 1998 ("CF2") the throttle potentiometer/idle control unit needs to be set to the ECU using a diagnostic machine (e.g. Examiner).
I'll change them back over later on. It's only a 10 minute job.
Thanks
