Hi, my undertray has been a little loose for a couple of weeks (surprise!) on my GT (owned about 9 months). Coming home today over the speedbumps it took a whack, then when i reversed into my driveway there was an almighty crunch as i passed over the kerb. Got out to find the passenger side of the undertray folded back on itself and the other side hanging down onto the road...
Fixed the undertray with a drill and some cable ties (and a lot of swearing), but once i moved the car there were 3 drops of what i assume to be oil on the road. Had another look and I think I can see a little oil collecting on the underside of the exhaust at it's lowest point in front of the flexi joint.
In short, has something ruptured!?! What sits above the undertray on the passenger side? Oil filter?? I don't think it is the sump as I can just about see it on the driver side - could it be a source of the leak with the undertray issue a red-herring??
Sorry for the long post!! It was a lot easier to see on my old 156 TS - the engine bay of the 1.9 is filled with plastic!!
Cheers for any help.
