My V6 needs some stuff done to it. It's bog standard with the giraffe suspension and lousy braking. I'm going to get it lowered by installing some lowering springs on the front from another lowered 156 and some lowered rear springs and shocks. The reason being a mate bought a full lowered set for his car and can only be bothered to fit the fronts, so I'm getting his front springs (which appear to be fine) and his leftover rears. His existing suspension is already low, just knackered.
I also need to do the brakes before I crash into something. The discs all seems fine so I was going to get some DS2500s fitted since these have been recommended here.
I'm going to get the mechanic to do this all in one job since he'll have the wheels off.
Is there anything else I should get done while I'm at it? Should I do anything to the engine? My searches don't turn up any cost effective upgrades. I won't spend money unnecessarily, only measurable improvements.
thanks
