My prob so far.
2.0 JTS (Alfa GT)
Motor Control system failure came on just after startup and continues to stay on.
Took it to Alfa specialist - ran diagnostic test - mixture lean fault - suspect lambda.
Lambda sensors have previously been hardwired and soldered (common mod I believe).
Garage reset the fault but the light came back on shortly after.
I have checked the solder connections and found one detached (soldering done by a monkey by the way). I have resoldered the connection and insulated it properly.
I have tried resetting the ecu but fault still apparent - will it need another fault reset via OBD2 connection? I have a cable on its way to me (elm327) and will use Fiatscan.
I was wondering if it was a dodgy connector then the fault would clear itself? Would an ECU reset clear this kind of fault?
Any advice would be really helpful guys (and gals).
