I have a problem with my GT Selespeed.
I had a problem with the car stalling after 3000 rpm and took it to the authorized Alfa dealer.
They found out that there was water and dirt in the fuel tank. They clean the tank and all the pipes but the problem still exist. They told me that it may damaged parts which will cost a lot of money. Actually they suggested to change all the fuel system. Does anybody had this problem?
They took out a sample and indeed the fuel was not clean at all. The gas station does not take the responsibility. The Alfa dealer told me also that 2 more AlfaRomeo had the same problem with fuel.
The problems that the computer reported were:

P1670 Fuel pressure, below bottom limit
Dirt in the Fuel
Fuel low pressure circuit tubing
low pressure pump

How can the gas station not take responsibility?!!! If you are absolutely certain it was that particular station (ie: you always fill up there), then they must surely be responsible, and have insurance for this very reason! But you wouldn't be the only affected person, right? Is it a franchise station (Shell, BP, etc)? Maybe they have a head office you can complain to.

If changing the tank and lines - and presumably the fuel filter - has not fixed the problem, then indeed you may need other parts changed, in particular the fuel injectors. Have you tried an injector cleaner fluid?

I only fill my tank from one station so there is no doubt about that. The company is EKO and is Greek company. (Actually I'm from Cyprus). They try to avoid everything but i will demand to fix my car since I'm 100% sure is their fault.
I tried one cleaner fluid which is used when there is water on the tank, but nothing happened. The problem still remains.
The person that i complained was from the head offices. They didn't even took sample from the tank. The good think is that i have sample and i will use that if needed .

Good luck. I hope you fix it and receive compensation.

Whilst that's possible, it wouldn't be related to the fuel problem.

Something (unrelated) to try, is an ECU reset. Refer to the stickied thread atop this forum.

Thanks for the help! Do you know an online shop that sell these potentiometers? I want to eliminated that first since i read from a GT manual that these potentiometers can be related with the problem i have. Maybe finally the fuel may not be the problem.
Can i reset the ECU by myself?

Fixed the problem.
The pump on the tank was damaged due to the fact that water was found in the tank. Had to replace the pump. The gas company does not take responsibility so now i gave the case to my lawyer and I will demand my money through court.

I would expect the company to have insurance for purposes like this. Best of luck - I hope you sue them for costs, stress, time, loss of income, and loss of faith in the vehicle. So think of a cost, then triple it!!!
