Hello everyone,

I was wondering how many airbags a 2005 GT has? I can clearly count 6 airbags (2 of which are located above the rear seats. However i also see a cloth tag on the side of the driver and passenger seats that says "airbag". I can't figure out where this air bag would be (if there is one in this location) since i don't see any perforation in the leather or any other way for an air bag to pop out of the side of the seat around the tag. Perhaps someone could shed some light on this please?

6 airbags:

1-2: front driver's + passenger's
3-4: side: one in each seat, which are where the tags are that you mention
5-6: curtain, along the roof above the side windows for front and rear occupants

I must say, I've not seen schematics of how the side airbags are fitted, but I'll have a look for one.

EDIT: this is off ePer, but doesn't show much detail: http://www.spangerum.com:7080/cgi-b...P.NA.00900.FCTLR/rx2.na&type=N&key=5550800004

There are these little oval plastic 'buttons' that say 'Airbag' or similar - my 156 has two of them in each rear pillar trim and one in each centre pillar trim. I think these are misleading - as shiny_car said, there is actually only one curtain airbag each side plus the airbag in each front seat, then the two front airbags, for a total of six (not ten as you get if you count up the buttons, the tags, and the dashboard markings )
