yellow engine symbol ?

I have a yellow engine symbol come up in the rev counter on my 156 sele. The car seems to be running ok . Is this a symbol that can be mean different things or one specific problem.

It means there's a failure in the engine management department. Probably a sensor somewhere, but there's little point in guessing which.

If it's running ok, it's nothing bad enough to put it into 'limp' mode, but best get the fault code read and the problem rectified.

AlfaDiag and a suitable USB/Serial lead would be my recommendation, particularly as you have a Sele. Then you'll be able to do clutch rod adjustments etc

As Iain says - can be many things....and is quite common. 2 of my 156s have been running for the last year with this light on, as I'm far too idle to plug in my diagnostic until something goes wrong.....

So, don't worry unduly - but worth getting checked if you get Alfadiag or are near someone who has - just to put your mind at rest....
