156 interior facelift pros and cons

Can anyone quantify the changes involved to the 156 upon the introduction of the silver dash and were they all for the better?

Personally I prefer the silver dash visually, but I understand there were also changes under the skin, ie the wiring allowing the common cruise control functions etc, plus the "driver info" trip computer thing.

Are there any other benefits or downsides? Also, can the (non-remote) steering wheel of later cars be retrofitted at all?

Any wheel will fit as you can fit any facelift wheel to a pre facelift so all same fittings.

The rest, no idea.
