If it doesn't have a balance belt & shafts, it is not a 2.0...

have to check tomorrow that could be a pain.
it fitted all in the gearbox and has a 2l clutch on it just problems with the top engine mount and mounting the accessories, would a 1.6 do this.

You need to do a search on here to see if ecu's, throttle bodies etc are the same depending on which engine you actually have.

All the TS gearboxes are interchangable, you can even fit a 1.4TS gearbox onto a 2.0TS and the other way round, so that proves nothing.

100% though, if your new engine does not have balance shafts, it is not a 2.0. It is either a 1.8 or 1.6. Unlikely to be a 1.4, but still possible...!

Ive done loads of different engines recently and its getting late but i thought all engines had the holes machined in the front of the block albeit used or not to accomodate the air conditioning.Because from memory its a real pain to fit aircon to an engine that didnt previously have it as the threads are usually rusty.
