147 cruise control clutch issue?

Hello
Cruise control was working fine until I had to get the clutch cylinder replaced - I cannot return to the mechanic as they are a long way away. Is it possible that a wire was not reconnected?
Thanks

The clutch pedal switch probably needs adjusting. You'll find the switch above the clutch pedal. The plunger is on a ratchet so that it adjusts to the return position of the pedal. You may be able to do it with the switch in situ but it's probably easiest to remove it - just a quarter turn anti-clockwise to remove it - then pull the plunger out a few clicks & replace it.

(I've never actually adjusted my clutch pedal switch, but that's how the brake pedal switch works - I assume they're the same!)

Briiliant

Thanks, I'll have a look in daylight this weekend - assuming we actually get a break in the rain!

I had the same thing and managed to pull my pin back out but it required a lot of force so don't be shy! If you did break the thing then it doesn't matter cos you would have had to replace it anyway! There is another thread about the same thing: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...e-and-fix.html (Cruise control & clutch pedal retaining pin failure .... and fix)

You can easily take the switch apart and fix it rather than struggling to pull the pin out - I've explained this in the thread linked to in the previous post.
