147 Glovebox removal

I have a very bad rattle behind the dashboard of my 147 in the area behind the glovebox.
Anyone know how easy it is to remove the glovebox, and if there is much access to the rear of the dashboard.

The 156 glovebox just unscrews. There's loads of them as well! I am sure the 147 will be similar. I needed a very long screwdriver to reach the screws where the lid hinges, as you have to screw over the top of the open lid. Then it just pulls away from the dash.

Its dead easy.
1. Remove support arms from lid, they just pull off gently from the slot in the lid.
2. Undo all screws around the edge of the glovebox, 6 or 7 from memory.
3. There's a nut at the back of the glovebox that need to be removed.
4. Ease the box forward and unclip the light connector.
5. Install in reverse, be careful not to pinch any wires behind the glovebox.
Good luck
Les

PS The origin of rattles can be extremely deceptive.

Thanxs for the reply, the rattle is up near the top of the dashboard, so I'm hoping removal of the glovebox will give me enough access.
