Airbag deactivation fault

The passenger airbag deactivation switch was supposedly faulty when we went to collect the car from the dealer. They changed the switch, but the airbag fault and deactivation warning lamps stayed on. eek! They said it needed resetting by an Alfa dealer for which they would pay.

Autodelta tried doing this yeaterday, but it didn't work.

They're due to have another look at the car soon. Has anyone else ever had this fault? Is the airbag likely to be on or off?

Didn't know Westie's had airbags?
Mine doesn't!! Does yours Rick? wink

I would have hoped they cured the airbag problems on the newer Alfa's - I sm still having awful problems with mine. AFAIK if the light is on, none of them will work in the event of an accident.

I have taken to soldering over the connectors to create a good connection...then hopefully getting it reset ONCE AND FOR ALL...

Mines a '98 V6...not a new one unfortunately.

Incidentally, if you know anyone looking for a Westfield, I'm possibly looking to sell it...
