Splattered flies in my paint
I was washing my car after a couple of rather warm days, and what do i notice?
After removing all rest of flies from my front bumper (which realy seems to be a fly magnet) and my hood, i stiil can see the marks of their vital juices in my paint (Alfa Rosso).
I tried to get them out with a very mild polish (don't want to mess up my paint), but the marks are still there. What do you guys use for getting them out?
I used Turtle Wax shampoo, cleaned with water, shined it up with the turtle wax emerald series, and tried even with a low brand polish. Yes it's very shiny now, but from close, you still see the marks.

every time i use the car i remove all bugs, bird droppings, squashed insects etc....with a soft cloth and some luke warm water.
then its easy to wash later on.........
however in your case i suggest you try some autoglym super resin polish.....

I have good experience with Holt's Bug Remover (Insecten verwijderaar). It's a pump spray can.
Couple of minutes and the fly juices just disappear... hopefully letting my paint stay intact wink

It's a constant battle against the bugs, you wanna try having a BLACK car arggghh just keeping it clean is a f00king nightmare in itself.
I wish I knew a good way how to, even now after washing and waxing it yesterday I can see the dust being pulled back onto my car and I haven't even used it yet!!!!!!!!!

I think i will stop at a car-store on my way back home from work (with a little de-tour ) to get me some bug remover, but i don't want anything that scrubs my paint so no powder things. A solvable thing seems ok.

Wash the dead flies with HOT water (with car shampoo of course) and SOFT cloth. It works quite well for me. Same for bird sh*t too.

Just leave it in the garage 24/7 and then you will save on fuel and servicing and best of all - no bugs wink

Change your dealer.
Mine cleans the car every time it goes in - and being a selespeed, I've only had to clean it once

God Bless this topic !
N1 i know what you're talking about cause i have the same problem. During my last trip in think i killed at least 10.000 bugs, flies and all kind of little flying mother f8krs.
So the next day i decided to wash my bella. First i sprayed some Arexons Insect Remover and the bugs came off easily. After that i washed my car with Turtle Wax Shampoo but when it dried out the marks of those bugs were there. So i tried my luck with Turtle Wax Color Magic Plus+ but the marks still won't come off rant
Any tips?
All the best

I use a spunge with a sort of net around it.
Bought it in the car section of the supermarket so you should be able to find too.
It works great! Better than the insectsprays (tried those). You just need to scrup a little bit, but I haven't had any scratches. (of course you should always use enough water)
Friend at work told me that a normal sponge in a pantyhose gives the same effect. Maybe you could try that on a not-so-visible part of your car?
Btw, for cleaning my alloys I also found a great product. Würth Alloy Cleaner (or something like that, anyway it's from Würth). Works better than any other product I tried. Even the brown spots come off

Well I use Zymol Ital wax and the insects on the bonnet just wash off.
I am sure that other Ital users find the same thing

Try riding a yellow motorcycle this time of year for the full-on bug experience...
Top tip for bug removal is to put a damp cloth over the splat and leave it to soak for a while. This softens the remains so they should just wipe off.
Hope this helps,

I was really surprised how easily insects can be removed on a car coated with ITAL wax.
Much easier than a car protected with Meguiar's, Eagle one or Autoglym products for example

It's the marks the the fluids make in your paint. Their is really nothing left on my paint, it's smooth as hell (i can't feel anything anymore) but still the mark is there. If you look at it under the right angle. I don't think you will be able to see it an metallic paints. It will only show up on Alfa Rosso or Negro, i think.
