creaking noise
My car has developed a creaking noise. It sounds like body creaking coming from the passenger door area. It only happens when changing speed, ie from stationary when I pull away there is a creak then when I change to 2nd gear and accelerate there is another creak.
Does anyone know what this is and what the fix is.
On the workshop disc there is section in fault diagnostics for front door creaking (S62) however I am unable to view it to see whether this is a similar fault.
Does anyone have any ideas.

Maybe I shouldn't ask but have you checked any forgotten items in the boot or the door pockets that could move when accelerating?

the door pocket, boot and glove box are empty.
The noise is definatly coming from the body/door.

Hmmm....since the noise is coming from the door (when accelerating), it seems that there is something inside the door (hanging or otherwise), that moves. Now, this someting could be a lose screw of the power window, the door lock, maybe speaker..... If you hear it for a day or two, you should have it checked anyway

I have had the noise for about a month. Its a different type a noise to something moving about.
more of a creak than rattle or scrape.

BTW, where can I get a copy of the workshop disc?

Listen what i have done with my bella...
1) Unscrew a little the hook of each door.
2) Move a bit the hook (very carefully),upper about 2 mm.
3)Screw the hook & then test (open/close) the door.
4)Notice that this will force the door to make a very little climb (hard to notice...) each time you close it. No problem. The noise will vanish.
Cheers

Had the same symptoms a year ago. I was easily fixed with thick grease by the dealer!
