Strange thing happened during the meeting

When we were driving along the mountains, The following error appeared 3 times during the meeting:
My bella said "beep" and displayed the following message: "brake fluid low" or something like that, while she locked the doors herself???
(like you press the lock button inside the car)

After this, the warning disappeared and everything was ok. The doors remained locked. (until i pressed the button)

I have no idea what happened, because she just had her 60k service, and the braking fluid has been replaced.
When I got home, I tried some emergency stops, but no error....

Why did that happen???

Gunny, did you ever had any other symptoms on heavy rain? Of course it could be one of the software glitches our bellas are having once in a while, but it might be something related to the rain, a cable getting wet or something. Isnt there a brake fluid level sensor at the fluid tank? You could check its cables if they are exposed to water or something. Or you could have water in cables closer to the "computer", which could explain the scary self-locking too. I remember someone had strange symptoms with rain, was it you? my ram is not working good today wink Just a thought..

Jomor, that's one nice kitten...

Don't know if it's related to the rain, because i've already done a lot of km's in the rain (belgium you know) and had no probs...???

Anyway, she brakes ever so good, and i've had no errors as of yet, so i'll blame it on the strange Alfa soft... (revenge: I've cleaned my bella for the meeting during 10 days => washing, drying, vacuuming, wax, wash, leather care, ... So, if she's mad about that ... )

But I'll keep it in mind, if she ever starts to do the same thing, I'll try to check the cables (if I can find them )

Cheerz

I've had the low brake fluid light come on several times but only when braking heavily.
It turned out that the brake fluid was slightly low and the action of braking heavily exposed the sensor in the brake fluid reservoir enough to turn the warning light on. As soon as I had stopped, the light went out.

Believe it or not, but when I had my bella several weeks I had EXACTLY the same fault eek!

I was taking a high speed trun on a slightly uphill road (yes, in the rain). My Bella gave the error, and locked the doors.

Never ever had the same fault again

So I guess it's just one of those mysteries

It may be the handbrake. If it is not down properly or the sensor for it is faulty it may be this. When I stop in mine sometimes if I put the handbrake on too soon I get the beep and warning brake fluid low or handbrake (its a 156 though) Worth a look at!

I have this too. If you pull the handbrake on too soon, it bongs at you. Mind you, at least it doesn't lock me in!!

But that was defenitely not the case when I got the error. The onboard computer gave a orange oil warning sign in the graphic display frown
