i'm back!

i've got myself another 156.

its silver with red leather same as the last one, but no zender kit this time.

i lost the ebay auction but the winning bidder dropped out so i got it for £1600. i looked at loads of them before i bought this one; its better than all the others in every way so i couldnt say no.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=220339957901

i havent stopped smiling yet

the last 5 months with an astra coupe were painful, it feels so good to be back in an alfa.

Re: i'm back!

Nice one jug, like the red leather, best of the lot imho

What on earth induced you to drive an Astra? That really is one of the most revolting metal boxes on wheels allegedly parading itself as a 'car' known to the civilisation of mankind. Ugggghhhhhhhh

the idea was to give it to my other half once i found another alfa. we only planned for it to take a few weeks, not 5 months. there are loads of poor 156s on the market.

now i'm selling the astra because she doesnt want it. i dont blame her

Re: i'm back!

I am not suprised she doesn't want the Astra.

They are a worthy car but oh so dull.

Nice to see you back BTW

I Used to have a 156 V6 with that combination of Silver and red leather and the veloce pack.

i loved her, but not enough to pay £65 a week getting to work. as soon as i sold it petrol prices plummeted, meaning i could get another twinspark instead of a JTD as originally planned.

i keep looking out the window to perv of the 156.

Re: i'm back!

Nice car but I think a little over priced, when are the belts due? Still if that was black it would be ALMOST what I'm after (V6).

i know what you mean. its still a W reg 156 at the end of the day and they often go for peanuts these days, but i looked at so many and plenty that were newer and advertised for £2k were poor in comparison.

i'm still smiling so it feels like a bargain to me

Exactly. If you just trawl the ads, it's easy to think you get a low mileage, excellent condition car for next to nothing. The fact is you don't. You gets what you pay for and this looks like alot of car for the money.
