147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
I stupidly let my Screen Wash bottle run empty yesterday, and have now just re-filled it, however, the front Screen Washers work fine, but the back one will just not work, although I can hear the pump working, there is no water coming out. Anybody had this happen to them, and got any simple solutions......

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
funny you brought this up actually, mine came off again this weekend so as i have a day off wednesday, i will be re-fixing mine back on....
Trying to work out away to fix it permanently, i am a bit wary of using superglue on it, dont want to block the hole (or stick my fingers together, which usually happen)

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
Just been and had another look after reading the comments on here, and you Guys are indeed right, there is a lot of water running around in the back panel / boot, so I have to remove the panel and put that pipe back on. So a job for me soon, with a couple of screwdrivers, and a LOT of patience, methinks.......Thanks, folks, nice one.... .

Think I've got the same problem.
Be interesting as to how this goes. Me and technical don't mix.

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
I had the exact same problem yesterday! This morning as i reversed out of the drive a wave of water came into the passanger footwell!!!! Absolutely soaked down there, waiting to finish work so i can get drying it out.
I was wondering if the hose for the rear screen washer passes through passanger side sill? And if so is it likely to have burst there with the recent freezing?
Any help appreciated as ill be looking at it later in the dark!

I'm not looking forward to doing it actually, especially having read the correct way to do it, involves a lot of patience getting the panel off....

Nah, not that much patience, just undo every screw, and don't try and think you can take short cuts by not taking some bits off!
The clips are the toughest part, but once you've got it all off you'll probably think "that wasn't as difficult as I thought". It's what I did.

yeah, you should be fine, just be gentle with the force and make sure you get to all the plugs/clips

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
superglue is fine, but get the brush on type rather than the squeezy tube, a brush is a little more controllable
got this to do tomorrow

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
I have found since purchasing my 147, the rear washer doesn't work, the wiper is fine, just no water being sprayed, I can hear a motor whirr and all, but nothing, I'll give it a go and post of any disasters, lol.

Sounds exactly the same as mine was, the pipe had just come off, and at first I had no water in the boot, took a few Days to seep through. I think you may have the same problem here.....

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
Hi, I tried to remove the rear hatch panel a few moments ago, I found two screws to undo, the other two were already missing near the sort of handle bits? I can only assume that was from the previous owners garages etc, I also found four of the 8 threaded things, the four I found were on the outer edge near the lock mechanism, where are the other 8 to be found? Also, the two screws I did remove, were at the very end of the panel, though I still couldn't sort of lever them free after the screws were off....?
Anyone know where the other 4 are?
Thanks

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
The threaded plugs are all the way round. The way i found them was using a large flat head screwdriver and inserting it between the cover and the tailgate and basically, having a good old schuffty....Its a pain, but they are there

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
Including the top bit nearest the rear window?
When I used my flat head screwdriver to pry them open at the lower end (nearer the lock) it started to scratch the paint on the underside so I just used my fingers to wrench them free.

Re: 147 Rear Screen Washer....Help....
put a thick cloth of some sort between the driver and the paint, i dont think you will be able to do it with just your fingers.
Yeah, there are 4 (i think) other plugs nearest to the widow
