I alwas believed that cloverleafs were 4x4 because of the 4 leafs. So what's a cloverleaf indicate then?

The green four leaf clover - quadrifoglio verde or QV was carried by Alfa racing cars since the late 1920's as a sign of luck.
It has since appeared as an Alfa icon on a number of cars such as the 105 Guiila coupes, and more recently to designate top of the range versions of a model range like 33's and 145's. Alfa also played around with gold cloverleafs on the 90...

... more recently, Alfa 156s in Australia have carried the cloverleaf badge (and been called "Monza"). I was so impressed by it that I put them on the 147 that I bought when I came back from Aus, so Wim the diesel enthusiast and I are the first two 147 QV owners.

Yep,
Some may think of this as foolish but I did get the QV badges for my 147 since I thought I had done enough modifications to be able to justify slapping the badges on my car.
In Australia we also had a number of Limited Sports edition "Pirelli 156's" which were fitted with 17" Alloys + Pirelli P7000's, rear spoiler, Recaro Seats. These cars had Gold Cloverleaf badges on them.

I think as the Cloverleaf is such an Alfa icon, you can stick it on anything. With the odd exception, it is not a model designation as such, so stick away!!
Putting GTA badges on 1.6's could be frowned on however...

BEWARE - the 'Cloverleaf' in the trader is a total loss write-off. I had it HPI-ed.
Always, always HPI a car. Always be suspicious of cars priced way below book price.
PM me if you want to confirm which car it is.
Nareman.

Damn, If it's the one I think it is (44k, just short of £4k) I was gonna go out have a look. Am in the market for a V6 and budget set at £7k.
Thought this was too good to be true, and nice and close to me aswell. (A lot seem to be 90 miles away from me in the North East). Shame what few dealers have got are so over priced :-(
Thanks for the heads up, give this one a miss I think
