A complete dream overhaul...

So, let's get this straight right off the bat; a) I am still 1 day, 20 hours and 29 mins from getting my 147 2.0 Lusso and counting and b) that I will have exactly, down to the very fraction of a penny, nil in my bank account once she is mine. So this is purely special man time fantasy fodder....

So, I've went for a Lusso without leather seats as I got a stoater of deal on (what I think) is a stoater of a motor. And I've seen on a web site, I forget which, that it is possible to buy the leather interior aftermarket; anyone done this/ heard of it done - cost, time etc?

Second, anyone had any experience with Auto Delta, specifically the EVO mod for the 2.0t spark 147? The one that cranks it up to 230bhp? I wondered what the cost was and, more importantly, is it drivable and will it last? Or does it just become the mother of all track cars?

And back in the real world what would be the best bet to make the most of my baby? Anyone have any tuning tips for a complete novice? I've had experience with air filters before but I wouldn't know which one to go for on the 147, suggestions? Is chipping good practice on the 147 or does it just run the engine into the ground?

Thanks guys,

Jamie.

Re: A complete dream overhaul...

BMC CDA is very worthwhilst improvement, as is a older style exhaust manifold without the pre cats in it. a remap can gain about 10% on top also so 175bhp is not unrealistic.

autodelta work is very well known but very expensive, the turbo/supercharger conversions seem a good option but at 5k or so its a LOT of money that you wont get back. taht said it would give you a car with performance similiar to that of the GTA.

Yeah, I got the impression that the the 2.0 had the potential to become a GTA contender (what with the astra vxr and golf gti both being in the same category as the GTA with only 2.0ltr lumps).
