LoL @ your responses!!!
nah mel, it's not jacked up i could tell ya that!!
the star..well....
i know it's a merc, but i find this car much better than new merc (i compare it when an E class)
the quality, the driving involvement (if any), the ride, the handling, etc... are much better.
which doesnt make sense really; it's got really soft springs and 185/80 eek! 14 inch wheels, and the e class with lowered factory fit sports suspension + 16" wheels.. and the handling is ZERO on the e class
well anyway, i know most of you hate mercs, but i grew up with this car, i really like it.. it's not the same affection for the alfa (obviosly) but there's something about it which i really love.. dont know what it is though!
the e class on he other hand is an utter bore to drive, imo; i prefer driving a corsa to it..can you believe that!? eek!
only one thing good about it...most drievrs stop DEAD when they see you coming with it, specially in high speeds, they're scared of it LoL!!
melooks at the 147 again... ah thats better
!?

<strong>For measuring the performance of you car this gadget ( Performance meter ) seems very usefull. I haven't tried one myself, but I am thinking of buying, as it is cheap and portable. Has anyone tried any similar produc?</strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OK, I just visited their site, gave them a call and have ordered their performance meter... should be getting during the course of next week.... I'll definately keep you posted on outcome... wink </strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Good news! Actually GREAT news.
I just got the Performance Meter from Race-Technology yesterday evening adn immediately configured it for my Bella and took both out for a few test runs in the local park where there aer some flat and straight roads (and at night, hardly any traffic)...
The results are as follows:
0 to 100km/h acceleration test:
9.27s
0.56 peak g-force
137bhp peak power
The test conditions were:
Alfa 147 1.6 3dr (120bhp model)
K&N filter
Remus exhaust
lowered 4.5cm
17" alloys with 215/45/17 Dunlop SP Sport 9000
-5.5°C outside
Full tank of petrol
Spare tyre on board
Driver of the car (54kg)
All in all I am very impressed with the gadget and hopefully everyone can play around and test it during the next Alfa Meeting....

A 147 is the Alfa and the Omega of all. www.ricojfdd.net [+=]
The Red Pepper: 1.6L, 120+ bhp

At least not for that OL' E-class you're driving in the pic! I loved them! They were utter wrong and ol'fashioned cars but just went and went and went and never stopped!
Morocco is invested with them! I once took this 'illegal' taxi (like the one from your picture) from Ouadalian to Tangiers (about 20 km's) with a friend and a cousin of mine! When I got in the car and we started moving I noticed there was some light coming from UNDERNEATH the carpet in the front. When I lifted the carpet I saw this HUGE hole in the bottom of the car due to RUST! eek! eek! eek! And I saw road running under the car eek! eek! eek!
Then on top of a hill the engine died. The fella stopped, opened the door, and while the car was starting to roll down the hill, he fiddled with his hand under the car and the engine STARTED again! I was like preying I would live to tell this tale.....well thank God I can tell it to you guys
I think that all new mercs are s-h-i-t, except for the new E-class and the new SL-class

I don't need no one to tell me about heaven, I look at my son and daughter and I believe.
Quote of the month: "Extremist ideas bring NON-tolerance as a result, because people having their face stuck up so deep in their Ar5e that they can't smell nor are interested in other's 5hit!"
