V6 that won't rev..??

Hi I went to see a 156 V6 today the car has FARSH with 79,000miles on the clock & the car is mint but I was told that I couldn't take it out for a run (it was a trade sale) because the engine won't rev has anyone got any ideas on what this could be..??? would it be the airflow meter..??

Wwhat do you mean by 'wont rev'. Will it rev but wont go to the red line or just wont rev at all therefore just ticks over?

Re: V6 that won't rev..??

well as I haven't started the engine I asume the salesman means it won't rev high what he said to me was that it won't rev so i take it he meant it won't rev up the rev counter....

If he won't let you start the engine or drive it, don't even think about buying it.
