Thinking of buying a GT - help needed

I'm thinking of buying a GT 1,9 JTD. I even found particular one I would like to have- a stomboli grey, '04, mileage 98k km (ca. 67k miles), finished with red leather. But I would like to know some owners impressions before I make my decision. The GT looks great, but is it a reliable car? I woul appreciate your comments.

Re: Thinking of buying a GT - help needed

I've only had mine a month so hard to comment. It needed a coil pack and spark plug replacing under warranty but other than that it has been fantastic. Don't worry too much about how reliable a car is going tobe otherwise you will never buy any car ever again Just have one more look at the GT and you will buy it. Good luck

Re: Thinking of buying a GT - help needed

I've had mine since the beginning of February - I love it.
no problems.

Great to drive - getting about 44-49mpg depending on how I drive it.

It's funny the amount of looks it gets from other drivers as well

mine has had a few niggles but nothing major.... I expect there are some right dogs out there though as they are quite easy to break.

Welcome!

The 1.9 Mjet is a peach; ultra economical (Want better fuel consumption?) when you want/need it to be yet more torque than the v6 when you want to play.

You might find the following links useful:

Re: Thinking of buying a GT - help needed

I had a hard time to decide between Brera and GT. Ended up with a GT Sportiva (looks like blackline). I´m very happy for that, since it has some features that really makes it look more modern than the ordinary GT.

Are having some smaller issues with wind sound from window, rattles from gear box and strange sound from the brakes (?) when turning. Hopefully easy to fix under warranty. If I can get these things fixed, I may keep the car forever and ever

Re: Thinking of buying a GT - help needed

only the usual annoying niggles like creaky seats and rattling tailgates need to be looked out for as potentially they will drive you bonkers
