Honest opinion please

I quite fancy a selespeed and was looking through ebay and came across a 99 156 selespeed with 50k for £1100 10 miles from me (do not know weather im alowed to put item number on here if im not im sorry) can anyone tell me there opinion of it please.the item number is 220260915268.

Do a search on here for Selespeed then decide.

I'd never buy a selespeed - they're too problematic.

Looks like a bargain to me. If it was that close to me I'd have a look at it first, maybe get it checked over by a mechanic.
Geat seats although not leather, shame. Very mixed opinions about selespeed (only downer on this one).
Low miles engine is worth around £500 alone second hand. All in all looks like a good buy.

PS If it let you down you could strip it down and get your money back selling the parts.

Thanks for your advice,at 50k would this have done enough miles to make the selespeed problamatic. I am going to have a look at it today.Hopfully its as good as it sounds.

Selespeed problems can occur well before this mileage. If there are problems then the "bargain" price to buy the car will not seem so much of a bargain.

Lower mileage cars used around town are probably more likely to suffer problems with the selespeed than motorway cars IMO.

Unless you can get a warranty with it I would search out a manual otherwise if the selespeed fails the car will be uneconomical to repair.

Who did the servicing - esp. the cambelt change?
