Help 147 Buying advice - Top Tips

Apologies if this has been asked many times before, but I'll ask anyway.

What are your absolute top tips, things to look out and tell tale signs when buying a used 147 (manual), somewhere around the 3-4k mark, high mileage isn't a problem as its just going to be a weekend car.

Cheers Fellas

Cambelt
Oil
Start from cold
Does everything work
How crashy is it over bumps
Go up and down the gearbox
Try the lights!

both sets of keys...expensive to get cut
make sure tensioners were changed with the cambelt
no diesel rattle when starting up...likely knackered variator

Re: 147 Buying advice - Top Tips

Thanks for the pointers fellas....there are a couple of 147s (1.6 & 2.0) down at a Garage near me, so all being well I'll be off down to have a look this weekend.

Just one last and probably obvious question, but, is the Bose system clearly identifiable - ie with a Bose trademark or something, the Bose in my Mk4 Golf wasn't which is why I ask.

Cheers
