Remote locking

Hi everyone,

Got me a nice 156 today, which I'm very pleased with

Only niggle so far is that the remote fob isn't working. Turns out the switch inside it is goosed, but when I put a battery in it the LED glows red.

What does the LED tell you when it's lit? That it's transmitting? I wafted the fob at the car, but it didn't lock or unlock... If I get new keys from a dealer, will they code the remote locks as well?

My other lock-related query is the central locking. When unlocking the driver's door, only it unlocks. Unlocking the passenger door opens all the doors. Is this normal or not?

never opened the doors with the key to check - sounds weird tho.

Thanks for that. I cleaned up the fob (manky inside) and it's just the switch that's faulty, so I'll see if I can find something similar (unlikely) or if the guy you mentioned will sell me a switch.

Just to round this one off, I ordered a microswitch from the guy belfast bob mentioned. It arrived today, and worked a treat. Very fast and efficient service from him!
