Re: please help me

I don't know for sure, but it could be a clutch release bearing...

Re: please help me

I had a similar problem on a 156 v6 i owned once was found to be the presure fingers on the pressure plate but more than likely the bearing... Could also be slave cylinder linkage worn, at a guess...
Does the car change ok?

Re: please help me

It is the pressure plate that needs replacing. The release bearing clips in on it and usualy wears thru the pressure plate fingers. The clonking noise is the release bearing try to reposition itself under pressure when the clutch is operated. If u replace it yourself ..its a whale of a job. Busy replacing everything now on a similar problem on a V6..

Re: please help me

Your best bet is to go for the full clutch kit, I agree that it's the release bearing reseating itself, but this could also be the 2 brass bushes that the release arm is mounted through could be worn and it is these slamming that is the knock on a quick change.

Re: please help me

i would have the starter motor cleaned out and the clutch kit fitted - likely to solve both problems

at an indy i would say £50 clean starter, £100 clutch kit and another £200 labour -£400 tops

check the cam has been done, but i bet cleaning the starter will fix the noise your getting if im understanding it correctly
